Red hair fading too fast?

Attention faux red heads! I know there is nothing more amazing than a hot shower. Especially now that summer time is on its way to fall! BUT you could be shortening the longevity of your vibrant hair color with all those hot showers! To ensure your color lasts as long as it can, Start rinsing your hair with lukewarm to cold water! Less of a chance of rinsing out that color!

Using a color safe shampoo/conditioner system helps as well! And that isn’t a tip just for red heads, all colored hair can benefit from a system targeted to make color last! My personal favorite is the Color conserve system from Aveda. The 3 part system locks in your color, and helps give your color its longest life possible!

Best body oil to give a shimmery glow for summer!

Recently I picked up the To the Beach body oil in Sea Side (The pinkish shade) by MAC, Because I absolutely love to look like I have a nice natural glow. I love it! Its a very thin liquid and is very easy to make a little bit go a long way. I have used it quite a few times and it still seems as if I haven’t used any!

It also has a very pretty, light shimmer to it which I am super fond of! I would definitely suggest picking this up if you want too have a nice shimmer and glow going on while out on a summer night/etc.

Eos has done it again! Ultra moisturizing shaving cream!

I bought Eos’s lip balm a while back and fell in LOVE, Then the other day I was at Target picking up some things for myself that I had run out of one of them being shaving cream. I was about to go with what I usually purchase, when then I noticed that Eos now offered shaving cream I was STOKED. I was also pretty excited that it came in a Vanilla scent.

Its alot different than normal shaving cream, its more of a lotion rather then foam. It left my skin SO smooth, and also smelling delicious. On the bottle it says you can use it for both wet/dry shaving but I haven’t put dry shaving to the test with it yet!

I would suggest picking it up, Its only $3.50 which is about the same price for many other shaving creams and lotions.

Do YOU have a shaving cream preference?

A great face scrub, and the ingredients are in your kitchen!

I am a big fan of DIY beauty tricks. Saves you money and ALSO is usually an awesome natural approach to beauty care. This awesome facial scrub only calls for honey, milk and oatmeal. 3 things MANY people have in their kitchens at all times. Measure out:

3 TBSP of Milk (If your skin is more dry, try whole milk rather than skim or 2%)

3 TBSP of Honey

1 TSP of raw crumbled Oatmeal.

Mix all three together till they blend into a paste like mixture. Rub onto clean skin, massage the scrub on your face with your fingers for a few minutes then rinse with warm water. Pat your face dry and voila! An awesome face scrub and you more then likely didn’t spend a dime! Beauty doesn’t always have to cost an arm and a leg! Hah!
